We highly recommend that you first seek advice from one of our staff members regarding the membership model that best suits you and your existing collection. You will then be guided to register using our easy to use form. After yourr successful registration, an locally review and recording of your unique collection, which you want to  register will take place at your premises. During this, the following data will be collected:

• title of the work
• purchase price
• date of purchase
• general physical condition
• photo of the work and the corresponding invoice (or delivery bill)
• the total number of works to be registered

Subsequently, a check will take place and after successful completion of this, you will receive your individual library number as well as the corresponding initial password for your personal online presence. Under this number, other book lovers and/or potential buyers can find and view your verified collection in our portal. In your internal area of our platform, you can manage the registered works of your collection, add or change information.

For collectors of important, unique and rare works, even within our times there are unfortunately hardly any possibilities to manage and present their own treasures and to network with like-minded people – in an easy & professional manner while providing a high degree of security at the same time. With our service we bring together book lovers from all over the world and furthermore help you to get a quick overview of your individual collection, to manage, analyze and extend them. Furthermore, you have the possibility to present individual writings or even your entire private collection to others and to pass it on to family members in the easiest way possible.

This decision is solely up to you. If you wish, you can make your member area accessible on a book by book basis to others, so that other book lovers can admire your works. If you do not wish to do so, only you as a registered member will be able to view your collection.

The registration costs are 10 percent of the former purchase price of the work. This amount is verified by proof of purchase by our staff*.

No, as a service provider & market place we do not buy or sell books ourselves. A purchase or sale is only possible online for registered members. In your personal unique showroom, you can offer individual works or facsimiles for sale to others. You can also ask other members which works from their collection are for sale.

At this point we would like to point out again that we cannot take any responsibility for the fact that there will be demand for one of your works on our portal. Furthermore, we do not have any influence on the determination of possible prices. We are not involved in any sales or purchase processes that are concluded via our platform, nor do we receive any commissions.

As a member of Global Art Database, you have the great advantage of always having your collection with you – no matter where you are in the world.
